My Major Project will implement design thinking and practical methods >>> aiming to assemble a platform for engaged, speculative discussions and to instigate use of imagination and practical experiment >>> in context of *alternate* economic scenarios, ideated models and *design fictions*.
I aim to uncover the nature and promise of the *ideation* intersection (or *space for ideas*) that is activated >>> when Design *thinking* and creative, practical method is employed in the context of speculations about *Economy*. How might the innate potency of collective human imagination be harnessed >>> in order to at first address and approach socio-economic equalities and systemic failings and to secondly, induce changes; along the road toward a fairer and ultimately sustainable economic climate?
The purpose of *design* = maintenance of continuum human advancement and the application of collective intelligence in problem-solving. If *Economy* is presently synonymous with crisis >>> why not fix *re-design* the failing mechanics and *progress* the system at hand?
*As *Economy* refers to an overarching design or conceptual envisioning >>> assuming that this were to be collectively and consensually re-designed on behalf of society >>> why the need to instigate a process of change in the first instance (i.e. what are the design *issues* that are at stake)? Furthermore; how will the journey unfurl on a *pragmatic*, tangible basis and attend (viably) to *human-centered* needs and concerns along the way?
More specifically...
My project will explore and experiment with the concept of *Bitcoin* and the cryptocurrency idea. How does this concept apply in context of *society* as an overall >>> i.e. what does >>> and what could >>> Bitcoin represent and signify on behalf of its involved user base? What sort of design will best showcase the concept’s innate potential and invigorate its *human* and social appeal?
